Hi guys,

I just read Apple's policy on the battery replacement program at:

http://www.apple.com/support/macbookair/service/battery/

and it states specifically that:

Service may not be available if your MacBook Air has been damaged due to accident or abuse.

Does this mean that hypothetically if I were to drop my MacBook Air, and get it damaged e.g. a dent, but still retain functionality, Apple could refuse to replace my battery down the line?

Thanks

Are we there yet?
The keyword used here in Apples' statement is MAY...

I would suspect that if there were sufficient damage and installing a new battery would present a safety hazard then they could, should and would refuse to install a new one. If the "minor dent" did not cause a safety hazard, then there shouldn't be any problems.

As long as the battery is not damaged - dented, deeply scratched, cracked, etc. then they will replace it.
