Hello,
I want to start designing my own iphone/ipod touch applications. I already have the sdk. I live pretty close to a apple store and they have these bars not the genius bar but a different one where they help people with learning things.
Is it possible for me to have a appointment with a genius and maybe have him or her show me the ropes of developing app store apps any response is welcomed

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

I'm not sure, but you can start with the tutorial videos on the developer site.

Most likely not. Learning to code an app is infinitely more complex than learning how to use iWork. I believe the bars you're talking about are more for people to learn about their computer, and the software they can use with it. What you're wanting to learn is more like building a car engine, and those bars probably go over how to drive the car.

You should be watching the videos on the website, and reading the tutorials. That's your best introduction.

I doubt the Geniuses can help you. In my area, the Apple store doesn't have a single person who even downloaded the SDK.

But the closest you can get is the free Stanford iPhone Programming podcast on iTunes U. The two instructors both work at Apple as developers.
