Music and movies can be shared on up to 5 registered computers. How about apps? Wife and I both have iPhones. All media is stored on an external drive that's shared on the network. Can we install the same apps?

Yea, apps are locked into itunes accounts and not devices. As long as you two use the same itunes account you can share the apps.

Okay, thanks.

Now, I guess that brings up another question I hadn't thought of. Where is app data stored? In the app file?

If I'm using, let's say, GasHog to track my car's mileage and I sync regularly. When she installs the app from the same file, does she get my car's mileage when she syncs her iPhone?

Yes it will. But if u dont want it to just have her download it on the app store. After you hit purchase it will say your account already owns it and will download it to her phone for free. Then it will be a brand new app for her to store her data.
