I have a basic set of Creative Labs speakers, L, R, and a bass woofer unit. They connect to my old mac via a small jackplug.

Is there a connector I gan get hold of that I can plug my ipod into that will hook them directly to my iPod? It's a 2G Nano, with the standard connection.

Having a BBQ in a couple of weeks and can't afford a speaker dock, so I'm hoping there's a way I can play my iPod through the speakers without having to drag my mac outside.

Any ideas...?

Surely the same jackplug thing u talk about would work on the ipod if it works on the macbook?

Eh? The speakers plug into the back of my old G4 via a tiny jack plug.

Are you saying I could connect via the headphone point on my ipod?

There's only 2 holes on the ipod. The one for the phones, and the slot shaped one to connect to the mac via the usb cable. But there's no usb port on the speakers, so I'm asking if there is an adaptor I can use to connect the mac usb cable to the speakers jackpoint...

Hope this makes more sense....
