I was wondering... i have a family plan, 80 bucks a month, and family unlimited text, 30 bucks a month...

When I get my phone, I am going to pay an extra 20 for the iphone plan, however, do I get to use my unlimited texts from the family plan? Maybe if I call ATT they can work it out? I mean, it's kinda nutty that iphone unlimited text is 30 and a family of 6 is 30. They let me keep my 5,000 roll over minutes when i changed plans, even though they're not supposed to, so maybe they'll let me? Or maybe they don't need to let me because maybe I can use the family texts?

Seriously, why so confusing att? why!? Please let me know what you guys are doing with this. I remember cingular, pre-att, would give out promotions all the time with texts and stuff, i hope they do that.

My phone is the main line on our Family Plan. To activate my iPhone, I simply had to add the $20 data plan. That includes 200 SMS messages, so I added 1500 for $10/month.

I would think that your existing text plan would apply with your iPhone. But, you need to verify this with an AT&T rep before you sign on.
