Is it possible to access my Data->File Server files if I'm not on the Airports network at home.
I have a large collection of movies in this folder that I'd like to access abroad.

Is this possible?

You want to setup a VPN Server however Airport Routers don’t support that! So maybe you can keep your Mac on and pay huge fees of trying going across the ocean!

Your better is get an external and put your Music/Video On it a take it with you or you have to keep your Mac on all the time!

Yes you can. I store some files on my Time Capsule (which is not my router). I am able to access files on it from work.

Test it first, go somewhere away from home and get on the internet with your Mac. Then, in Finder, click on your Time Machine drive, it may be under "Network" in the sidebar.

I think the key is to make sure your iCloud account is configured on the Airport.
