Can i add a blackberry data plan onto my iPhone account (rogers)?

I love my iPhone but there are some situations which i would rather have a blackberry. With the release with the new bold i was wondering if i could just switch the sim cards in and out. With further research i realised that this wouldn't work as the data plans are different.

I'm not looking to get a new phone number, so i was just wondering if i could add a basic blackberry data plan ($25) onto my existing iPhone plan. All the while keeping my iPhone data plan as well.

Confusing i know.

I have both a Blackberry Bold and a 3GS that I swap my SIM between. My account has the blackberry data plan and I installed a carrier file with the proper wap settings on my iPhone so it uses that data plan. Only thing that doesn't work is visual voicemail.

If you want to use both, I highly recommend switching to the blackberry plan. You can't use the blackberry on an iPhone plan.

Are you in Canada as well? Im in the US on AT&T and would like to buy a bold off of ebay and swap my SIM on a day to day basis. Not sure if this only works on Rogers though.

Don't do it. I tried to be clever about it when I switched from an 8800 to an iPhone (don't ask -- pretty stupid). RIM uses some sort of signaling to notify the Blackberry that new email is there, and the iPhone doesn't know what to do with it, so it ignores it.

If there's no reply, RIM keeps sending the notification, and it completely drains your battery in < 3 hours.
