I trade stocks during the day and was wondering if it'll be possible to have two screens running on the IMAC?

If so, How do I do it?

question about trading

what platform do you use ... I run my trading software running parallels ... but do you know a good mac trading platform?

OK, after I do that...what else will I need to do? Will the cursor cross over to the other screen?

I'm new to Apple computers so I really appreciate the help! (although I'm happy to make the leap!)

Thanks for the link, but....

The VGA cable plugs into the VGA video-out port built into your eMac, iMac flat panel, PowerBook G4 (12"), or iBook.

I don't see a "VGA video-out port" on the back of the new IMAC...

I wonder if it'll work...any ideas?

NEVERMIND>>>>>>I JUST FOUND IT ON THE BACK OF THE NEW IMAC....I'm An IDIOT!

Thanks for the link...ordered and looking forward to enjoying two screens.

Yep, you can use a DVI > VGA connector for a decent picture. <See lower link>
I will assume you meant Mini DVI > VGA.

Um, I think he needs Mini DVI -> DVI.
Either will work:
- Mini DVI to VGA
- Mini DVI to DVI

It depends on what you are connecting to the iMac.

For example, I have an old 15 inch VGA LCD. So I use a Mini DVI to VGA adapter.

I also connect my some DVI monitors as well using the Mini DVI to DVI adapter.

Yes it will.

Go to System Preferences...->Displays and you'll be able to move the "monitor" rectangles around to match the exact physical setup of your actual monitors (to the left, to the right, above, to the left slightly higher, etc.).

Thanks for the cursor update!

As for the model...it's a DEll Model # 195FP

I'm not sure about what kind of connector...

Hi guys!

I have MBP 13". I am trying to connect it to ViewSonic monitor (VS10725) via DVI. I have a cable DVI to MINI port but it doesn't seem to work. MBP simply doesn't see it. I also tried USB connector and that doesn't work either. Can you help? Has anyone experienced this? Any help is appreciated.
