Can I bluetooth tether my iPad to my iPhone 3G and how do I do it? I'm ok with jailbreaking it. It's running 4.3.1

If you don't have native tethering (Personal Hotspot) then get Tether me. It will enable bluetooth and USB for 3G and 3GS. I am tethering my ipad2 (4.3.3) with bluetooth.

Doesn't native tethering require 4.3 or greater? The 3G only can go as high as 4.2.1

Not sure if what firmware includes personal hotspot. I had native tethering before 4.3 but it's hidden deeper in the option. Since 4.3, native tethering is on the first page and rename to personal hotspot.

You better search more information on this.

I've just done it without jailbreak or personal hotspot...

Hi,

I turned on internet tethering on my ancient iPhone 3G, turned on Bluetooth. Then turned on Bluetooth on the iPad 2. Paired the iPhone with the iPad. Made sure wi-fi was turned off on both devices.

Started safari on the iPad and here I am replying to you. Though I'm sure by now you have this figured out...
