I purchased the AW3 LTE aluminum. After a week with it, I wished I had purchased stainless steel. I could return it but the quickest I could get a stainless steel replacement is like a month down the road. So is there a website that offers a stainless steel bumper to transform the watch?

Also check whether any other stores have stock; here in the UK, for instance, none were showing up for collection at an Apple Store but John Lewis have them.

Also when I was in store last week they said they only show up online for collection if they have more than 5 of that model.

If you have the budget to change to SS I would do it. A case will just make it bulky surely? I got a gold aluminium on launch and really did not like the colour or feel so swapped for a SS as soon as one came into stock at local store. I had an online order as back up but picked one up before that though I had to buy the Milanese strap version over a sports strap. It was my first AW and I always thought I would never pay for the SS version but honestly so much nicer to look at and wear and besides I see this as something I will keep for at least 2 years before upgrading.

My problem is that I am a few days past the 14 day return period.

Sometimes Apple will extend the return period and if it is to exchange for a higher spec/price model I think they could well accommodate you. Worth a try. That is you bought direct from Apple and actually want to exchange.....

Someone on the phone forum got the return date extended on the iPhone 8.

Well I bought it from Best Buy because they had one immediately available while Apple store would have taken several weeks to deliver. Does Best Buy have a reputation for extending the return date?

Best Buy would normally extend returns if you are Elite or Elite Plus out to 60 days. Unfortunately, the one exception is for cell phones and devices on the carrier contracts. If you haven’t activated the LTE service, you may be able to do an exchange still (probably not a return though). I did that with my iPad purchase, but that was a couple of years back now.

All you can do is try... and I’d try a couple of stores. Sometimes one store will help where another may not.
