I'm using 2 Apple IDs. One for store purchase, let's call this ID 1. Another is for email, iMessage etc., let's call this ID 2. This works pretty well for years, now it won't work because of iCloud Storage.

The reason I'm asking is I wanna buy additional storages but it want to charge me on ID 2, which naturally is not where my purchase fund on.

Now in iTunes I can change my ID 1 which is xxxx@gmail.com to ID 2 which is xxxx@me.com according to my account page in iTunes.

but I don't think it will replace my ID 1 with ID 2, with all the fund in it, isn't it?
So how I change it to have it charge on the account that already have a fund, and keep all my purchases past or future (I have pre-order) intact?

This problem can be avoid if Apple gives an option to charge us on the iTunes store instead. :sigh:

You clearly failed to follow Apple policies.

Apple.com has all the info to help you understand your responsibilities.

The correct way to do business with Apple is via One Apple ID only, it's been like that since the advent of Apple ID'S

Using 2 Apple IDs, one for store and one for iCloud, is an Apple policy according to this link.

Are you a troll by any chance?

How about just putting a gift card under the one you want storage on? I get you want to use one for buying and one iMessages, but this might work then.

Sorry, this came off a little mean. We should be helping people, not shooting off "policies" that aren't even true. I set up my in-laws this way from the same link that matrix07 posted below. They had 3 Apple ID's, one for the each of them and one they shared for buying (before family sharing).

I have that link bookmarked for people.

Thank you. That's what many people suggested including Apple rep. It's not ideal but it's doable. I plan to try it when I have time, and will report back for others who face the same issue.

Anytime! Also, look for gift card deals too. At SAMs club, we got $60 in iTunes for $49. I see them on sale at Target too a lot. Target has this Cartwheel app and it helps saves when they have the special deals. I also got them on sale at Best Buy as well.

I can't remeber the last time I paid full price for iTunes gift cards.

Absolutely, GC is such a great deal, much better than using CC. :)

Anyway, it works. Just put $25 in my iCloud account.
