I'm curious if anybody knows. I've tried several google searches, and searched this forum as well.

I haven't received my preorder yet, and, of course I'm anxious to get my hands on my new phone. I'm readin lots of reviews, etc on people's experiences thus far.and it's making me drool all the more.

I want to know if anybody has tried changing Siri's name yet. Not their own name, but what name you use to address the virtual assistant herself. If so, any success? How did you do it?

The name isn't used anywhere. It does show in settings. You simply hold the home button before telling Siri what you want done.

Yep, you don't have to address it like you would person, it's software, so it's feelings won't be hurt. :D

Is there any situation where you have to address the software by it's name?

Have you aske Siri how to do it? :)

doesn't look like it, if you tell siri it's name is something else it just comes back and says "my name? It's Siri"

I know how to do this. Beware it takes patience though. Basically you say “Can I call you ____?” She will refuse at first but just keep asking and say please a lot and eventually she will agree. It’s really cool.

And where would you use this new name?

That poster hasn't been here for six years.

I just watched it on a video on youtube. It doesn't hold though. Siri (in my case, I use the Australian accented male voice as it's the least annoying), he says, "Ok". Then when I go back to say, "Hey _____", nothing. I have to go back to Siri.
