Just Wondering...Because I think I may be pushing it close to the 200 mark...

also, I apologize for the some-what newb question, but does received text messages go towards the 200 count?

Thanks in advance,
Bryan

yes if you login to your ATT account. There should be a link in safari.

as the poster above stated, logging onto your account will show you how many texts you're using, though I don't know how accurate (current) that data is. if you really want to know, calling at&t should help.

and yes, receiving texts also counts towards your two hundred.

dial *3282#

this will send you a txt message with your data usage.

But be warned.... you will be billed for its use till it is officially launched.
This information came from a moderator from an at&t message board. I guess they don't officially offer this yet but you can use it now.

yeah, I actually got the same message. I actually get the same information when viewing my account on at&t's website.

Yeah, I had the same problem. I was worried about how many I had been sending and kept trying the web to check and the *# number to check and it always said to check back after billing cycle. I finally called AT&T and at first they said they could not see how many were used but were finally able to check. I was at 197 and that was a few weeks before my billing cycle so I had to go ahead and bump up to 1500 messages. I am going to have them credit me if they charge me for the overages because I tried but could not check them.

I just got this: As of 7/11: MEdia net: unlimitied
Messaging Overage: 214

Does that mean i went 214 over the limit? Or I'm 14 over....becuase I don't think I've gone through 414 TXTs...

are you considering both texts you sent AND received? both categories count toward your monthly limit (yes, it sucks, but that's how they're counted)...

Yeah, I'm taking that into consideration...I was using about 5-10 per day, a couple days I had 0, and a couple more I had it shoot up to around 20-30.

I'm gonna drop by the local store tomorrow, see what they say...On the (small) bright side, 214 messages over, at a rate of 5 cents a message, is only (and again, I say that lightly) ten dollars and seventy cents.

Edit: By my math, I may have in fact pushed 400 Messages ><
