All Devices Can I choose what tray to print from on iOS devices?

Hey everyone!

Is there any way to select what tray to print from on iOS devices?

It‘s really frustrating I can‘t select which one, especially when I forget the type of paper I have on the first tray and it goes to waste.

If you send an image from iOS, it will print from the rear tray not the cassette and I have never managed to get it to do anything different- maybe someone else has and can tell you different. That's probably your problem.
I have a Canon printer and the old Canon app let you choose but not anymore. However, you may find your printer has an app that lets you choose so maybe look into that?
I gave up in the end and I purchased an app called Printer Pro. It has family sharing so we all use it.
Loads of options and I can print from the cassette. Works with a link through the share window if you are interested.

Note: I've just had another look at Printer pro as I haven't used it much for a while and I don't seem to be able to choose the tray or quality anymore so I can't really recommend it anymore. Odd and a shame.

Similar to you, when printing from iOS to my EPSON EcoTank printer, it was defaulting to the rear paper tray. I set the printer's paper size for the rear tray to envelope size, even though I had plain paper there, so printing from iOS would always use the main paper tray.

Have not found one.
When I print to my HP Laser (Has 2 trays I use for letter and legal) I have no option to select.
It doesn't always choose the right one either.
