☟This is the history of my iMac, optional to read.
Got my iMac in early 2007, it's been my only computer since and even though I delete pointless stuff here and there it's getting junked up. I started playing World of Warcraft which was fine at first but now it's extremely slow, slows down the whole computer, firefox freezes, slow slow slow.

☟This is the bottom line

To help with this I'm planning on deleting all unnecessary files I have. ASIDE from that what can I do? I've seen PC users do little tricks to keep they're computers clean and fast, programs and stuff that clean it out. Perhaps deleting cookies or something? I'm assuming what I'm looking for is to use less memory?

Any tips, tricks, explanations or info would be great, thank you!

what is that? Sorry I never did anything like this

Put in the disc that came with the computer or a leopard/snow leopard disc and boot from it, then choose options for your hard drive when the window pops up and choose "Archive and Install."
