can i connect to local network but limit access to the internet?

hi

i am trying to hook up a mac mini to a local wireless network (airport express) so that i can access a shared iTunes library but i do not want the mac mini to be able to access the internet (other macs on the network need to be able to access the internet). is there a way to change the settings on the mac mini so that this is possible?

You can block port 80 on the mini. That should do the trick.

Just disable the DNS entries or insert bogus ones in the network settings. That way you can see the iTunes over Bonjour but not the internet. You could also just use a non admin account and set it to only allow iTunes access to the network.

The ultimate question is why? The system needs to be able to update. If you are going to let a child use the computer, then limiting access to Safari using account settings would be your best bet.
