hi, can i daisy chain 2 4k displays on a base 2021 14" M1 MBP? Or do I need to use two of the USB-C ports on my laptop? Further, can I run 2 4k displays and another 4k display off the HDMI port? If I upgraded to 5k displays, would I be able to do either scenario as well? (all at 60 Hz, if that matters!)

Thank you!

You could use one in the HDMI port rather than one of the USB-C ports, but you will need 2 ports for this.

2 ports to run 3 monitors or 2? Does 4K vs 5k matter for that?
You need a port per display. For some displays you could use a Thunderbolt dock and connect a couple of displays to that.

Alright. Thanks. So daisy chaining doesn’t work on any M type Mac? Even on, say, the Mac Studio?
