any day now i should be heading out to bestbuy to buy my 2.4ghz imac.

i was wondering if they would let me upgrade to wireless keyboard and mouse for the 40$ or whatever it should be, or if since im buying from bestbuy if i'd have to dish out like 180$ to buy them seperate?

thanks guys.

Unless things have changed you would need to dish out the full amount. If you want to save the money you will need to order online through the Apple Store.

If you are planning on buying any cables or anything of that sort do not buy them at Best Buy nor the Apple Store. You will save a lot of money through Newegg.com. For cables a name brand does not make a difference either.

I believe the same holds true for peripherals such as keyboards just not as drastic, though the ones from Apple are price controlled so there would be no difference there. Printers are usually slightly cheaper, monitors are slightly cheaper but not as easy to return. RAM is much cheaper online and hard drives are fairly cheaper.

that sucks, i was hoping they would price match and just take the keyboard and mouse out of the box and give me the wireless. i guess there's no harm in trying.
