Can I do this with AppletV

Hi Guys,
I am in a dilemma whether to got for appletv or not?I want to use ATv's Couchsurfer or BOxee browser on Appletv and watch all live TV channels on my apple TV instead of on my laptop.Basically I want to stream Live TV.
Can someone input your suggestions whether appletv have this functionality if we hack it .For ex: I want to go to www.telugulive.com and login to the website.Once you login we have specific set of channels available based on subscription.Usually on PC they say the requirement is Windows media player.
Will I be able to play using Couchsurfer or Boxee browser?

It will work with tvpc.com however for the same price I recommend getting the acer revo 1600 its ION and Boxee guaranteed. Plus if you torrent or use usenet the transfers are a lot simpler.

Couchsurfer still cannot properly render Flash, and I doubt that it can do it properly with Quicktime.
I always had better results using Firefox than Couchsurfer.

So,It is working if we use firefox or couchsurfer?.so appletv plays live TV URLs.

Hi...

..from a snowy UK.
New to the forum but thought I would ask with a question about the Apple TV. After days of going around the houses I have decided on the Atv opposed to some other ways to do similar.
Being of an older age range I wanted something simple that would allow me to download photos,music (through my Denon 1910) and be able to watch various movies on a hard drive. As the movies are in various formats I guess I will need to use the Flash option and the Patch ca seems to tick alot of boxes. Also would watching Iplayer (BBC) be possible ?
Any input most welcome although I best not change my mind again or the wife will be after me :eek:.

Out of the box:

Photos - check
Music - check
Movies - check

For an apple tv straight out the box your movies will need to be apple tv friendly.

If you plan on hacking/modifying the the little gem then I think you'll be able to watch movies from other formats without too much bother. I did notice iplayer was available through one of the software options once but never got round to trying it out. From what i've read I think what you want to do is very possible.

I've changed converted all my dvds into apple format using the handbrake - it's taken a long time for the encoding but I'm there now. Just need to sort some sort of backup now.....

If itunes integration and bbc iplayer aren't essential have a squint at the popcorn hour device - you won't need to hack that to play your movies.
 
But ...

.....would it be able to play my Itunes music, and does it have a good inter-face for showing photos (also on Itunes).
And now there's rumours of a new atv :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I just got apple tv and installed atv flash but I'm having trouble getting on this website to watch live soccer on my account setanta-i.com can anyone help or let me know what I need to do?
