I don't want to download iTunes onto my Vista laptop.

Is there a way for me to download pictures from my iPhone 3G to Vista?

When I plug in to USB, Vista doesn't recognize/install driver for the iPhone so it does not show up in My Computer?

Thanks.

You can Jailbreak. But it's 100x easier to just install iTunes, because then... you can SYNC YOUR iPHONE!!!

Are you talking about photos that you've taken with the iPhone's camera and are in the camera roll? If so, just navigate to the iPhone in Explorer.

If you're talking about photos that you've synced to your phone, you're SOL unless you jailbreak.

Yes, taken with my iPhone.

iPhone does not show up in Explorer.

I use Mobile Me

I send pics I have taken with the iPhone camera OTA to my Mobile Me.
Then simply I go to Mobile Me on Vista and can browse the pics.

Yeah, iTunes will get photos that were taken with the iPhone, but there's no way to get photos off of the phone that were synced to it.

Camera roll = accessible
Photo library = inaccessible

Luckily he wants the ones in his camera roll.

Vista plus iPhone is a long-standing problem.

I found this on modmyi, hope it helps you:

"I finally figured a way to make Vista(Ultimate x64 in my case)recognize the Iphone and load the appropriate drivers.

Plug the Iphone in... go to device manager and right click on portable devices... select scan for hardware changes...

Why that works, is beyond me..."
