Hi All,

I've got a 2017 retina iMac with a broken screen and a working late 2013 iMac.
The 2013 is open as I had to replace the faulty hdd and I haven't glued the screen back in yet and it got me thinking. Does anyone know if they are compatible before I go through the effort of opening the 2017 and swapping it in?

No. There are both physical incompatibilities and electrical differences - if the 2017 logic board doesn't detect the appropriate screen panel T-Con chip then everything fails...
