I am going to buy a new iMac next week...and I was planning on using my student discount to get $$$ off and a free ipod. Is it possible to get the discount and free ipod at the physical apple store, or is the deal only availible through apple's website?(and yes my iMac will NOT be BTO...but I will be getting some RAM from Crucial:D)

I believe you can get it in store as well, I think you need any one of the following; student card, uni acceptance letter, uni email (they ask you to verify it on the macs their), basically just prove you are a student.

God I wish there was a way to get a free iPod with a Mac in England... Still get the small student discount but pay another £200 (~$400) for my iPod with accessories...

Good luck

i've gotten the education discount without my student id before. all they asked for was the school's zip code and maybe my id number. can't remember.
