I have a Macbook that has Mac Osx 10.5 installed on one partition and windows xp installed on the other partition. I want to install windows vista so i was wondering if there is any way to have all three os's on my computer.
if there is a way please tell me thanks.

I was able to do this. I just installed the windows XP with bootcamp then installed vista and use the windows xp bootcamp partition to boot the vista partition.

if you dont mind spending $79 VMware will make this really easy for you, just set up 2 virtual machines, then launch vmware and choose whichever one you want to boot into from a list.

This is a wonderful solution.

You can have as many PCs via VMware or Parallels as you HD will hold. Very convenient.

I guess I'll be the xVM VirtualBox advocate which is free from Sun Microsystems. I use it to run XP and it's perfectly capable.

Now, I haven't tried this, but I would think that when you set up XP on a bootcamp partition, that you could format it such that XP wasn't using the entire partition, and then install Vista which will overwrite just the XP bootloader with it's own, which would allow you to boot into either XP or Vista from Vista bootloader after selecting the "Windows" partition after holding option at boot? If that made any sense?

Anyone tried that?

I think bob616 wants to run each system from its own partition, not through virtualization. If it's that way, I've posted a guide here
