Can I Have More Than One iCloud email account?

Hi,

I have an appleID which has an Apple xxxx@icloud.com email account and is tied to all my Apple devices.

When I first set that up I did not use a name I would want to use for business contacts. (Not professional enough).

Can I create a new email account with a different name in addition to having my current one which is connected to all my devices?

If I can, how does it work when I receive email. Do I see two different @icloud.com accounts, just as I see my Google account now?

Also does Apple frown on this and or could it cause any issue with my current account?

I do know about creating an alias.
I rather keep them completely separate if possible.

You can have only one email account (with up to three aliases) associated with an iCloud account. If you want completely separate email inboxes, you'll have to create a separate iCloud account. You cannot be logged in to two different iCloud accounts at once on a Mac or iOS device. You may be able to configure the second email account manually in Apple Mail or another email client by setting it up as an IMAP account (see here for server settings). But if you really just want a "professional" email address, I'd recommend to avoid all the hassle and just use an alias. You can use rules to sort mails sent to this alias into a separate folder.
