Hi,
I currently have XP and OS X sharing a 500gb drive. I was thinking about adding an additional HD and installing Vista (the rtm version) on it. Is this possible? I've read suggestions of just unplugging the default drive and doing a clean install of vista on the new drive. Can I hold down the Alt key on bootup and select between 3 operating systems?

Thanks

Ps. If this is possible I'm going to go out and grab a 250gb+ drive. Does anyone have any suggestions on a quiet but good performing drive?

Yes, and you can do it without unplugging.

You have to have more than one HD I think though, and you have to watch out for windows flipping out over having more than 1 installation on the machine.

For its part, the Mac firmware will work fine.

Could someone confirm this ?
Ill have to have Vista for DX10 'neyway, so itll be nice to know whether ill need to have 2 HDDs.

I have tried to install vista on my mac pro on the same disk as X and it does not allow you to i thinks that disk is unbootable. It does make it to the part where you select your install disk though. I hear it works if its on its own disk. It may be able to be on the same disk as os x. If you first install Xp then do a upgrade. However, I have not tried this.
