Hi all,

Another new guy techincal question. My laptop is about to take a dump but my lcd hasn't worked for about 1 1/2 years now. I used an HDTV LCD for my screen but I would like to take that home finally and use it there. My question is:

If I buy the appropriate adaptors to go from VGA out on my laptop and convert my dvi caple to the iMac mini-dvi, will the iMac recognize that something is sending a signal to it and allow me to toggle back and forth between the iMac and the laptop? I already have the cable adapted to dvi from vga, just haven't bought, if they even exist, the mini-dvi to dvi adaptor.

The only thing the manual states is that it can be used to view iMac contents on a different source, not the other way around. Just curious if it is bi-directional.

Thanks, ANewMacGuy
