I have a mac pro mid 2010, running Yosemite, with a EVGA GTX660ti card, working well

Can I install bootcamp and windows 7 with this video card? o I must swap to the stock 5770 to do that?

Regards

I just installed windows 10 on my 5,1 with a gtx 980ti card. only snag I ran into was bootcamp installer isn't compatible with my machine on the mac side. I just downloaded the windows support files from apple, booted the machine with the windows install disk, installed, and then ran the bootcamp installer from the windows side. This only works if you have a separate drive in your machine that you can format specifically from the windows installer.

Ok, but your issue is because windows 10?

You don't need EFI GPU to install Windows. Bootcamp sets everything up in OS X and then reboots into Windows installation.

The benefit with Mac GPU is that you can stop at boot screen after first reboot from Windows installation and take out Windows DVD - something that i have to do on my 1,1 if i want installation to finish without any problems (and couldn't do with PC GPU for unknown reason...).

Ok, I did it, no problems at all

Regards
