Can I Install iPhone backup on earlier model?

Wanting to back up an iPhone 11 and restore on an Xr

Why not? I recently restored my iPhone 11 (6.1) on my IP6S. However, big mistake as the 11 backup had 32 gbs of data on it while my OLD 6S only had 16 gbs total memory. I then spent the next 2 days pruning the 6S. So, make sure your Xr has enough memory to take the actual gbs from the 11.

The phone you want to restore should also be running an iOS version that is the same or later than the one that was used for the backup.
