i opted for an email to be sent to me with my activation code...is it still possible for me to install this on bootcamp? My imac meets the specs, but i just dont know if i can install win 7 from an activation key.

I guess that depends on the key. You'll need some media to install from too. Do they give you an ISO to download or somewhere to pick up a DVD?

I'm still hoping the keys from the retail upgrade DVDs I pre-ordered with the ISOs I downloaded from TechNet so I can perform a clean install.

they give me back up media, but thats not an actuall install disk is it? its just a backup disk correct?

I think you will need an installation DVD to install windows. Are you upgrading Windows or doing a clean install?


I downloaded Windows7 from Microsoft using Boot Camp with XP and then used the ISO to burn it onto a DVD disk. Then I did a new install of Windows using the key Microsoft emailed me in the process.
