Hello, I live in a country where there's no iPhone from cell providers. I got an iPhone and would like to just unlock it to use my sim, I don't want it to be jailbroken or hacked.

can this be done? or will I have to have it jailbroken as well?

thanks

sadly you cant just unlock you need to jailbreak the phone first to unlock use ziphone to unlock, apple aint going to give the unlock soon so forget about the legit unlock like any other phone

what's the point of not jailbreakin?

you have nothing to achieve by not doing so.

even if for some bizarre reason you don't want 3rd party apps, you can delete installer.app

however you'll find numerous useful tweaks and add-ons and apps in installer.app

Well to unlock the phone you need to jailbreak, but once you get installer, if you install BSD Subsystem then OpenSSH, you can go into your phone through WinSCP or CyberDuck to just delete the whole Installer.app folder and reboot and you should be good to go...
