Hello,

I've been playing with the evasion jailbreak on my iPhone 4S for about a day now, and its pretty cool. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to keep it, but I want to wait at least a week to discover some more tweaks and things first.

I already made an iTunes backup of iOS 6.1.2 as recommended before jailbreaking, but I just want to know -- I have automatic iCloud backups enabled so my phone backs up regularly when connected to a power source. If I decide to remove my jailbreak by performing a software restore via iTunes and then restoring from my latest iCloud backup (which was done while my phone was jailbroken), will that screw anything up, or is that safe?

Thanks! :)

iCloud only backs up data it sees as coming from Apple. It will backup app data though. It won't back up your jailbreak and it will not backup your JB apps/tweaks.

It's suggested that you restore as new (this wipes out the jailbreak), but you can restore from the backup. There may be bits of the JB data in the restore that could cause issues.
