I know i have seen the pics from people who have had this done, and sites that sell them already painted, but i want to know can i paint my own macbook pro? Has anyone had success with this? if so what kind of paint did you use, process etc.

My main worry is heat. This thing is already hot I am afraid that painting it will make it even hotter as the paint may hinder heat dissipation. Any ideas from anyone?

As you said you know the sites, but for those who don't. Colorwarepc.com paints them for you.

In regards to your post: I dont know about painting it yourself, but I have heard of a guy who worked at an auto paint shop, and painted his Mac Mini. So perhaps you could try something like that!

I don't see it causing more heat. Voiding your warranty, sure, but not causing more heat. If you're not worried about your warranty, or destroying your machine, then you have nothing to worry about.
