So here is something i'm seriously thinking about w/ the iphone, if and when i get one. which would be soon.

I have a an FM transmitter charger dock for my car, where this transmitter thing is powered by the car's ac-port thing, and the iphone to that is connected from the bottom. here is a link of a similar one, which looks exactly the same from ebay:

To play music through my car's speakers it is not dependent on having an audio cable connected from the iphone to the fm transmitter, just having my car's radio on the same fm channel is good enough...

The thing is, with my iPod Touch I always have my iPod touch connected via the FM transmitter, as I would the iPhone too.

My only concern with the iPhone is when I would get calls, I wouldn't want the person that is calling me to be heard through the speakers and would prefer it if I could have a bluetooth connected and be able to answer my calls that way... possible?

When a call comes through whether fm transmitter or aux cable the phone will stop playing music. It will allow you to select how you want to answer the call. Just select your bluetooth and you won't have it going through the speakers. Once call is finished music will resume.

Yeah, you can do that. I just answer using my bluetooth (click the bluetooth button) then afterwards music resumes. Works with both my headphones port and iPod connector in my car
