It was a big surprise for me when I came across the fact that the guys from the company from whom I took my web conferencing system can access my server without my knowledge and permission. Since then, I am very much concerned and looking to switch on to some other company. But not sure which one to opt as I wonder that they may also do the same thing?

You "took my web conferencing system"???
That is unclear and can mean a number of things.

Did you took it FROM them?
Took it TO them?

Took as in stole? Took as in borrow?

Just make sure they don't have the root password or an admin account on the system, patch the ARDAgent flaw and the com.apple.systemloginitems.plist flaw.
