can i prevent music re-download after restore?

so if my iphone acts up and i want to restore from an icloud backup, is there anyway to prevent my 10GIG library from itunes to automatically download over the airwaves? That seems like an awful lot of stuff to download while the phone is in my pocket...

Your music isn't backed up in your iCloud backups.

well then why when i restore does my itunes library automatically start downloading?

Just go into iTunes and unsync all of your music after the restore.

Turn off auto sync and auto download.
