can i program unused key in mouse?

I have an amazon basics mouse with a button to adjust the dpi which I never use. Is there a possibility where I can program the mouse to replace the DPI functionality with gesture like mission control? I used to have logitech mouse with mission control button which I loved a lot.

I have an older Dell mouse with a DPI button. It simply clicks through different tracking speeds. I suppose it just changes some setting on a chip that is inside the mouse, but that button is not seen in Steermouse as a control button, and cannot be changed to support any other function or gesture. Yours could be similar to that.
