I basically know that I won't get a Mac from my PARENTS, so I need to save up for a Mac.

I decided that buying a Mac mini from best buy is my best option... so, I will buy the mini stock 1.25 GHz.

The problem - I only have a wireless network!

SO, can I put an airport card inside of a mac mini? Does Apple sell USB wireless cards? Are there any USB wireless cards available for the Mac?

If so, I only need 802.11B and it needs to be cheap...

ANYWAY, can I get wireless connection from a stock Mac mini?

Your best option is to order the Mac mini WITH the Airport (Wifi) already installed. This is the cheapest and most reliable way.

You can have the official Airport module installed at a later date, but it will cost more. You can also purchase USB wireless dongles, but they don't work very well (often you will have some sort of irritating driver issues) and they stick out the back of your computer like a soar thumb.

It's only $80 more to get the Airport installed in it before you buy it. Money well spent, WAY less headaches and it will perform WAY better than anything else as far as wireless goes on a mac.

Yes but I have a best buy gift card so that helps with some of the money...

Ah well, I guess I'll need to save up a lot more... I better just stick with the daily begging for an iMac G5 17"!
