Can i put canon 8megapixel photos on Iphone and send them via e-mail??

Hi, I have a canon powershot 8megapixel camera and was wondering if i could put my pics on the iphone and then send them to someone through e-mail with the iphone?

Should i get sendfile or sendpics apps to do this?
