Can I read chm file in iPad?

I've been waiting for a .chm reader (like iCHM) to show up on the iPad as well.
However in the meantime, I discovered what I consider to be an acceptable alternative -- use Calibre to convert your chm files to epub for use in iBooks. For the most part it does an excellent job, although some of my converted books did have a few formatting anomalies requiring tweaking with Sigil. (both Calibre and Sigil are freeware desktop apps used to convert/edit ebooks)

Your post is like the many posts that say nothing but tell the asker that they should look themselves. Your post is a wasted post because this is not what the asker was looking for. The Asker was looking for a program that you did not know about apparently and just decided to make a wasted post.... a useless post a nothing post.

I ran into the same problem. I tried using iChm and Calibre, and both would only convert like the first 4 pages of a CHM.

Glad to find this old thread, as the suggestion to use calibre helped me, was able to convert to epub and import into apple books. I had also been able to convert to PDF via online website but of course you lose all the cross linking which is in a CHM et al format book.
note also support for the mac OS version you have, as site indicated builds for older OS. also the twitter account and other still seem active so just wanted to post this (2021) that app still seems alive even if CHM is dead.
also worthwhile to note is it actually is its own ebook reader/manager but i found the interface wonky like windows 3.1/95 era UI though edited metadata, cover etc was handy (googled for a better image) and then converted and exported and then imported into apple reader. supports many other readers too as their demo video shows.
final note, install is just drag/drop no installer to run, though on launch it creates a folder off your username root "Calibre Library" which you can use or delete or change to a diff location.
