Can I Remove Yosemite?

I have a MacBook Air 2011 with 4 GB of RAM. I installed Yosemite, and I have two problems which I cannot resolve:
1) The Juniper Networks client software that I need for VPN access is incompatible with Yosemite. When I disconnect, I lose Internet connectivity until I reboot. And if very often disconnects all by itself.
2) No driver for my Samsung ML-D2850 laser printer.

I want to restore back to Mavericks. I have made Time Machine backups, but I'm not sure if that's the way to do it. How can I go back to Mavericks?

Yes, restore from TM backup. My 2013 rMBP is undergoing this process as we speak (I lost photos in the iphoto --> photos transition, and the entire system became laggy and unstable). Restart while holding command and r. Then just select the option to restore from TM backup (pick the latest one that shows a 10.9 backup).

Btw, I've done this before (tried Yosemite when it first came out, too, and gave up on it then as well) and it works perfectly.

Thanks! Now, if I do this, then what about all my changes I made after installing Yosemite? I restore them from TM separately?

Correct. Those changes will not carry over, as you're restoring not just to Mavericks, but to your system as it was on a particular date and time. So if you changed documents, imported photos, deleted files, etc., none of that will be there when you restore. So, back up any such changed files separately and deal with them once the TM restore is complete.

Not an ideal situation, but better than not being able to downgrade at all (which is the case for those poor souls who don't have a TM backup!).

Edit: also worth nothing that I did lose some settings, such as startup items and my steermouse settings. I also had to sign back in to iCloud. Not sure why, as everything should have been preserved in the TM backup, but there were a few little things like that to fix.

You might need to update Juniper. We're using Junos Pulse v4.0 here and it works fine on Yosemite.

Do you know how I can do that? It's a Java app. Do I need to ask our system administrators at work to update it?

When I look at Juniper Network's website, they don't mention anything about Yosemite support for Juniper Network Connect. You'd think they would...

Probably need to ask the admins, that's how I got mine.
