Can I replace C2D cpu with I5 processor on imac 9,1, early 2009 24"?

Got an early 2009 24" iMac 9,1, works very well so far, currently has C2D 2.66 cpu processor, 8GB ram and Geforce 9400 GPU equipped, I do have a I5 cpu removed from 2010 21.5 iMac available, can I replace the C2D one with this processor? It seemed that only C2D cpu is mentioned on Apple's website, does anyone has experience on this?

The CPU socket is wrong, and the chipset for the older Pennryn Core2Duo would not support the i5
So, that is a highly likely "no way"
