Is it possible to replace the battery without breaking anything? Or is it glued (?) shut forever? If so, how about recycling the battery?

I've had this remote for almost six years, so no wonder the original battery is worse for wear by now. Still, the remote works fine.

Thank you, @-Gonzo- , now I just need to find a replacement battery! Which seems to be impossible. See here*.

*There you can also find a disassembly instruction for the Siri Remote 1st gen, from step 8 and onwards.
