Can I restore an iMac with a MacBook Pro backup in Time Machine? I only have a backup of my MacBook Pro in Time Machine and I would like to know if I can use it to restore an iMac using Time Machine. Thank you in advance.

Unless anything has changed, yes. I did that a couple of weeks ago.

I did it as well. But I remember I was not able to restore the backup per se. It complained my BU having been created on a different machine.
I was able to migrate all user content (apps, docs, accounts, settings etc) though.
