I've heard there are some compability issues with ripping some dvds using handbreak, although I dont know if this is true or not. I use Mactheripper and put them on an ext hd. I only have a few on my computer because it takes up too much room on the internal hd.

to build off this question, using mac the ripper to rip the dvd what is a good program to burn a copy of that dvd? i use handbrake to rip for ipod.. but i need something to make dvd copies. dont want to highjack but others might have the same question.

I think VLC can burn to a dvd, although im not 100% sure. videohelp.com lists a bunch of info about ripping software, but your probably going to want to use mactheripper to get a copy of the actual dvd file, and not sure what program to use to burn to a dvd.

so does anyone know of good programs to rip a dvd to a temp file then burn it to a blank dvd? i found xilisoft dvd copy but it's just a trial and the quality is compressed
