Can I sell my iphone 4 and keep my plan wiht new one?

ok, if I sell my iphone 4 (few scratches someone dropepd it) and get a new line is att backed up right now?

I have my line, my wifes new i4 line and her old dormant line thta has a $125 etf on it....

but i still have my unlimited plan on mine... couldnt i switch my sim over to new iphone 4 i buy and still have it?

I know it sounds rediculaus, but i iddnt have a case on it when it got dropped.
