Can I send a song to HomePod while browsing iTunes on my Mac

As the title suggests I want to know if it's possible to play something on HomePod while browsing iTunes (send to HomePod) on my Mac.

I have a 2017 iMac and a 2010 unibody Macbook.

You can play the song in iTunes on your Mac with the HomePod as the AirPlay device.

It's very simple to use.

Thanks. So this will work on both Macs? I know AirPlay 2 wont work on my older Mac.

AirPlay 2 isn't essential for a single HomePod so both Macs will be fine.
