I'd like to stop paying for my annual Dropbox membership and just use iCloud Drive instead, as a means of keeping files/folders synced between my devices. But one of the features I use the most on Dropbox is the ability to right-click on any file stored in my Dropbox folder and choose "Copy Dropbox Link," which then copies a shareable web link to my clipboard that I can share with whomever I choose.

Does iCloud not have this capability? Is there some other simple/secure way of replicating this feature that would cost me less than the $120/year I spend for Dropbox?

With Dropbox you can share a document via a link to anyone with a computer and an internet connection.

With that Apple guide they have to have an iCloud account and I presume you have to know the person's iCloud ID.

So…"No" would be my answer.
