can I share my main photostream?

So I love the new concept of shared photostreams on the new iOS 6 - it looks like it basically lets you create a new album which you manually drop photos into to share, but I am wondering, If I can share my main photostream with my wife. So that way it just automatically shares all my pictures with her as I take them, instead of me having to manually choose the pictures I want to share with her.

Is that possible?

I'd like to be able to do this too, although haven't found anything to suggest you can share the whole photostream, just tag individual photos.

Would be great if anyone knows differently?

I can understand why you might want something like this. No need to bother creating a shared photostream. No need to remember to "share" a recent photo on an existing shared photostream...

So what happens when the photostream is public. Would you really want your raw photos available unedited? What about those times you might be tempted to use your iphone camera to "scan" a document such as a receipt, property tax bill with that all-important "paid" stamp from the city clerk, drivers' license or passport? Would you want those photos going out without any chance for review?

I know I'm quite happy the way it is. I don't mind a few extra taps to create a new shared photostream or add a new photo to an existing shared photostream as a small price to pay for my private photos remaining private.

Sharing with one person is not the same as making it public to the whole world. Pictures would just show up in their iPhoto in a folder and nowhere else. It's kind of silly they made shared photostreams without this capability.

You are missing my point. I was not talking about shared photostreams. I was discussing the hypothetical possibility that your ENTIRE unedited photostream could go public and what that would mean. BTW, I almost always make my shared photostreams public because I don't want my family and friends forced to log in to an iCloud account just to view a few pictures I posted. I'd rather attract my Android-using family and friends to iOS by features they like rather than by making it impossible for them to see my photos without logging in.

There are a few instances where I have shared private photostreams but those are situations where I wanted to share sensitive data (scanned meeting minutes) with a fellow iOS user without it falling into the wrong hands.
