If I want to email a picture, can I not do this from the composing mail area? Do I really still have to go to a picture and click send in email? And can I only send 1 picture per email? Hopefully, I'm just missing something.

If not, whyyyyyy has Apple not fixed this? Surely this can't be difficult to program. Seems like 1995 technology? Am I missing something?

Copy the image(s) you want to email in Photos. Open email and paste away.

As for adding attachments within Mail, it's still a no go.

but i can't copy/paste more than 1 image at a time, right? so it is copy an image, go to mail, paste it. go back to photos, copy image, go to mail, paste it, and so on and so forth, right? Or is there a way to copy more than 1 photo at a time that i'm not seeing?

I have not used an iphone since the 3g, which i gave my wife several years ago. Got the 4s and was quite surprised that this cant be done still. Had to go into photos and share them, which then allowed me to tag as many as i would like. Seems pretty basic to add an attachment to an email, can not figure for the life of me why Apple does not do it that way.

go into photos, click share, tag photos, click share at bottom and choose email.

You can select a number of pictures before clicking the copy button at the bottom. I don't recall how many, but I've copied and pasted as many as 5 using this method -- in fact, bulk copy (and adding a picture in a reply) is the primary reason I use this method

Really? You can't attach things? Wow, that is so 1995. My past 3 phones have allowed attachments!

A pitty your reading skills aren't as advanced as your witty rejoinders.

You really should have tried to post before the OP's question was answered with instructions on how to do it.
