At my computer
I have a 5.5 video and he has an 80 gig Classic. His is all installed now on my computer but im curious as to if I can sync his iPod with my library? Will this negatively affect my iPod working or can I just do it and have mine work fine afterwards as well? Sorry wrong forum but while its here does anyone know?

This will let you transfer songs from his iPod to your computer :)

Syncing from your computer to his iPod is fine...

you can sync as may iPods as you want with your iTunes library. Do note that if your friend has his personal library stored in his iPod, it will all be replaced with your library.

Your iPod will remain unaffected.

**********EDIT: Never mind. I guess I misunderstood the question. Ignore this post.************

Syncing his iPod to your computer won't affect your computer at all. I've got 4 different iPods synced to my machine at home, all of them with different content. It works just fine.
